As a student of anthropology and archaeology, and a hopeless romantic, I have long been fascinated by the Ancient Mayan Civilization of Meso-America. The ancient Maya were masters of mathematics, astronomy, numerology; architecture, engineering, and art. Their calender, intricate carvings and astonishing pyramids are testament to their genius.
